Clouded

What's up, cool cats and kittens? Thanks for coming to my store. It is an absolute honor to have you taking a gander at my offerings. I’ve been working on this body of work since March and am so excited to debut it formally.

To preface, I’d like to encourage you, the viewer, to look through every piece and read the descriptions to better understand the series as a whole. After all, what else are you gonna do? Keep scrolling through the same nonsense on Instagram? Just kidding.

This series really served me in a time of uncertainty to help me process my mental clarity and emotions. My wife and I are expecting our first child, I’ve taken a promotion at work, and am just settling into my thirties. These are regular life things, but in the moment, the fear of change can be paralyzing. Taking this new job has taken me away from my art a bit, so the restructuring of my focus has brought me great guilt. I felt like everything I’ve built over the past few years was going down the drain.

On the flip side, I am doing this for my little girl and wifie. Sacrifice, sacrifice, sacrifice. It’s all confusing, but the clouds help me sort through it. If you know me from back in the day, I used to have this graffiti character named Cloud Man. I actually have him tattooed on my right thigh. Anywayzzz, clouds mean a lot to me. They remind me the sky is the limit, and sometimes the best thing to do is lie on your back in some grass and watch the clouds go by.
